Short version: We design your event tee, open a private webstore for 7 days, collect payment (with no credit-card fees to you), print exactly what sold, and produce in about 12 business days after the order is finalized, then ship—bagged and sorted for easy pickup. Minimum 24 pieces (mix tees/tanks under the same design). Webstores are free for every client.
Why Murph & Hero WOD shirts sell (and how to avoid leftovers)
Event tees convert because they combine pride, participation, and a deadline. When you run a short preorder, you concentrate attention into one week and eliminate guesswork on sizes. The result is a clean sell-through, no dead stock, and a memorable launch day when members pick up their shirts.
What kills momentum: long windows, too many SKUs, and designs people won’t wear outside the gym. Our system solves all three.

How our event preorder works (simple 4-step flow)
-
Design
We create a hero workout design in your voice—clean wordmark or icon on the chest, optional small back mark with event/date. Two tasteful colorways max. We keep it wearable beyond the event. -
Private Link
We spin up a private webstore with only your products. It includes a countdown timer, size charts, Apple/Google/PayPal payments, and cart-recovery emails. -
Promote for 7 Days
You use our kit: Email #1 (Mon launch), Email #2 (Wed reminder), Email #3 (Fri last chance); daily in-class mentions (15-second scripts); QR posters at check-in. We do not exceed a 10-day window. -
Print, Sort, Deliver
We print exactly what sold, then bag/sort by member for quick pickup. You get paid the Tuesday after the store closes (or instant PayPal on request).
Minimum: 24 pieces per design. If member orders fall short, your gym can purchase the remaining pieces at its quoted price.
Timeline to be ready for Memorial Day
-
About 6 weeks before the event: Kickoff, design approval, and a confirmed schedule.
-
About 5 weeks before: Fit samples and a 7-day preorder launch.
-
About 4 weeks before: Close the store and finalize the order.
-
After finalization: Allow about 12 business days for production, then shipping.
-
After production and shipping: Pickup day hype—hand out labeled bags, grab photos for the next launch
Confirm the delivery schedule before launch and build in shipping time ahead of the event.
Design that members actually wear (outside the gym)
Event shirts should read like real streetwear, not a poster. Stick to designs people feel comfortable wearing to brunch, school pickup, or a casual office.
Skip: skulls, gore, barbed wire, weaponized barbells/kettlebells, illegible “metal band” type.
Use: clean wordmarks, icon badges, tasteful heritage stamps, minimal event/date line, one–two inks, and a small chest mark with an optional tidy back print.
Color strategy: run one hero neutral (charcoal/black/navy heather) and—if you want—a single secondary. Neutrals win the most wears over time.
SKU & sizing strategy (conversion > choice)
-
2–4 total SKUs (e.g., tee + tank, plus women’s cut if you know it sells)
-
One design across garments to hit minimums faster
-
Sample rack (XS–XL core; add extended sizes you carry) at check-in with a sign: “Try Your Size Here”
-
Fit note on the store: “Soft hand, slightly tailored; between sizes, size up.”
Less choice = faster decisions and higher take rate.
Pricing & profit (transparent math)
Pricing: Compare your final garment quote with the retail price you choose to set your margin.
Samples, in-class mentions, and final-day reminders can help members decide; actual sales and margin vary by gym and offer.
We provide your exact pricing before the link goes live. We do not deduct credit-card fees from your payout.
Shipping & pickup options
-
Local pickup (fast and free): great if you have a staffed desk or set pickup hours.
-
Direct shipping: perfect if members are remote or you lack a physical pickup spot.
If you don’t have a location, encourage shipping at checkout. Incorrect selections are the customer’s responsibility.
Policies that keep launches smooth
-
All sales are final. We replace items damaged or lost in transit; we can’t exchange sizes after ordering.
-
W9 required before we issue your link (quick form; we’ll send the guide).
-
Payout: Paper check mailed the Tuesday after close (usually arrives within a week) or instant PayPal upon reconciliation.
What owners need to do (the tiny list)
-
Approve the design and SKUs (2–4 total).
-
Put out the sample rack.
-
Have coaches read our 15-second before/after-class script all week.
-
Send three emails (we’ll hand you the copy).
We’ll do the rest.
FAQs
How fast can we turn this around?
Design to delivery typically 4–6 weeks with a 7-day preorder in the middle and about 12 business days of production after the order is finalized, plus shipping.
What if we don’t hit 24 pieces?
Your gym can purchase the remaining pieces to reach the 24-piece minimum at its quoted price.
Can we mix tees and tanks?
Yes—as long as it’s the same design, mixes like 10 tees + 14 tanks count toward the 24-piece minimum.
Do you charge credit-card fees or store fees?
No. Webstores are free for every client, and we don’t take CC fees out of your payout.
Can members change sizes after ordering?
No—all sales are final. That’s why we push the sample rack and include size charts on every product page.
What about shipping vs pickup?
Offer either or both. If you don’t have a pickup location, encourage shipping at checkout.
What designs sell best for Hero WODs?
Clean chest mark + tasteful event/date line. Keep it wearable—members will keep wearing it long after the workout.
Ready to lock your Murph/Hero WOD slot?
We’ll design the tee, launch your private link for 7 days, collect payment, print exactly what sold, and produce in about 12 business days after the order is finalized, then ship—bagged and sorted. You promote; we handle the rest and cut your check.
